SUZANN FISHER KENNEDY, RNC-OB BSN LNC

ADMINISTRATOR

Suzann has over 33 years of experience as a registered nurse. She has been the Administrator of Georgia NurseCare for over 20 years. Most of Suzann’s nursing experience was obtained at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Memorial Health University in Savannah, GA. Her experience includes working in Labor and Delivery, Med/Surg Trauma ICU, Pediatrics, CareOne HomeCare, and OB/ICU. She also worked for the first obstetrical home care agency started by Memorial, and that is where her love for home care began. Twenty-two years ago Suzann was hired by Georgia NurseCare to be a supervisor for the company’s Medicaid waiver program, and she ultimately moved into the Administrator role.  Suzann loves caring for the clients and patients Georgia Nursecare serves, as well as the relationships she has with her co-workers. Suzann enjoys going to church, spending time with her children, rescuing animals, fundraising for local veteran organizations, and watching Red Sox baseball and NASCAR. Her most cherished time is spent with the love of her life, her husband Bruce, and their grandson Fisher and granddaughter Charlee.  “I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)

KATHY GIBSON, RN

CLIENT CARE COORDINATOR

Kathy has been a practicing nurse since 1992. She started her medical career as a surgical technician before going back to school to get a nursing degree. Her vast experience with geriatrics and pediatrics has been an asset to the agency for over 11 years. Kathy has been married to her husband for over 32 years, and they have one adult son who is newly married. Kathy enjoys cooking for her family, fishing, spending time at the beach, and watching football.  Football season is her favorite time of the year.

VALERIE BUHL

AR SPECIALIST/STAFFING COORDINATOR

Valerie has been with Georgia NurseCare for over 5 years. She brought over 30 years of customer service experience to the team, and she has also worked in accounts receivable for over 20 years. Georgia NurseCare has a special place in Val’s heart as she experienced first-hand the comfort and care Georgia NurseCare can provide when her mother became ill and eventually passed away.  Val is a very compassionate and caring person, and she loves to help others. She believes in the services Georgia NurseCare provides and is always eager to help in whatever way she can.  Val enjoys crafting and spending time with her family.

ALICESON TURNER

COMMUNITY LIAISON

Aliceson grew up in Brunswick and graduated from Brunswick High School. Go Pirates! Aliceson has a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health with a minor in Gerontology from Georgia Southern University.  She brought a new approach to educating the community on the benefits of private home care. Aliceson enjoys watching Braves baseball, boating, rescuing animals, and spending time with her family. 

PAM BELL

HUMAN RESOURCES / SCHEDULING COORDINATOR

Pam is the newest member of the Georgia NurseCare team. Prior to joining the company, Pam worked as a Scheduling Team Coordinator for a hospice agency in Jesup, GA. She also worked for several years as an Administrative Clerk in a Sheriff’s office. Pam grew up and currently resides in Blackshear, GA. She has a daughter (Tracy), a son-in-law (Cody), and two beautiful grandchildren (Mia, 8 and Jett, 3), who she absolutely adores. Pam enjoys watching NASCAR and Georgia Bulldogs football, and she loves spending time with her family, friends, and dogs.

TOM POTEET

CEO
Tom received his Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from Auburn University. After graduation, he served as a Nursing Home Administrator and then began his lifelong career in the hospice and home health fields. In 1996, Tom founded his first home health care agency in Chattanooga, TN, which eventually sold to a large long-term care company. He continued with them as the VP of Home Health, managing the nationwide network of agencies, as well as acquiring new agencies and performing startups. In 2000, Tom founded Guardian Home Care and Hospice which grew to a large network of offices in multi states.  In 2010, he transitioned to Georgia Home Health and continues today as a partner and CEO. With the acquisition of Hearth Hospice in 2014, Tom has now realized both of his life long career goals. Home health care allows Tom and his team to assist patients with more short term health care needs return to full functionality, and, with hospice, they have the additional honor of loving and caring for patients and their families during the end of life journey. Tom lives in Chattanooga with his wife, Monique and their three children.
